IES Art Festival 2022 "Varnotsavam" was duly inaugurated by Mrs Christina Cherean a renowned news reporter and TV anchor along with guest of honour Master Milan a social media celebrity on 12 August 2022. Both the guests established their bench mark in the minds of idealites with their prowess in motivating speech and melodious music. The event was also graced by prominent management members Mr.Abdul Rasheed K.P , Mr. Ummer N.K , Mr Mohamed Ali, Mr. Nabeel T.K, head's of sister concern, Principal and parent representative of IES public school. The post COVID cultural fest Varnotsavam was blended with the sustainable development goals to promote sense social responsibility along with skill exploration.
This year's yoga day celebration was held with great enthusiasm at our school, IES PUBLIC SCHOOL, CHITTILAPPILLY, THRISSUR, KERALA. A large number of students as well as teaching staff attended the event this year.The theme for this year's yoga day was " Yoga for Humanity".
The session was held in our school courtyard. Students from classes 6 to 12th took part in the celebration. The inaugural speech was given by Mrs. Sujatha Harimohan,the principal, who emphasized the importance of Yoga and physical exercises in daily life.
Various asanas were performed by the students with great enthusiasm and energy. Even our principal and teachers took active participation in yoga day celebrations.The organisers gave us a short class about the benefits of each asana. Smrithi Suraj from our higher secondary section made the joy and merriment even more higher , with her stimulating speech.
Yoga helps in improving concentration and in attaining inner peace. It helps a
person improve life physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
Through this celebration which is considered as a global festival, students
realized
that yoga in our day to day life brings health, happiness and peace.
